First day at work: note taking

So it’s your first day at a new job. Preparation is vital. Why not take a notepad and pen with you? Yes, practically all companies will provide this for you, however why not show some of that initiative we were talking about earlier?

It is standard practice for your first day to be scheduled with introductions, inductions and training. You will be required to absorb a lot of information in a short space of time.
