We are currently recruiting a Import / Export Administrator for a world-renowned British Electricals and Homewares Brand looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment to join their friendly team.

Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor, the Import / Export Administrator position is a multi-faceted role spanning different divisions that will suit a strong administrator with experience of international trade & logistics who wishes to branch out and develop skills across multiple areas.
Key Duties:
Managing international trade orders, ensuring customer expectations and target delivery dates are achieved.
Including: controlling & maintaining associated reports and trackers and coordinating all order documentation, e.g. quotes, artworks, checklists & certification.
Supporting the Quality team in controlling Technical Files to meet legislative requirements using the in-house PIM system. (Understanding of compliance and legislation surrounding product would be useful.)
Assisting the purchasing and sales teams in administrating all logistics and commercial documentation.
Liaising with all internal teams to provide a front-line response for enquiries regarding lead times, availability, shipment tracking & documentation.
Liaising with external partners, freight forwarders, agents and factories to control and expedite orders.
Provide general administrative support to the purchasing team and any other ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience of working within a similar role with good working knowledge and understanding of international trade and/or shipping.
Personable with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to build relationships with people of all levels, from multi-cultural backgrounds.
Excellent administration skills and fully IT literate with proficiency of MS Office – Word & Excel.
Self-motivated, highly organised and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines whilst prioritising a busy work schedule.
A flexible team player with a can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail.
Able to work on own initiative.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision would be helpful.
Technical knowledge of customs and international trade processes (especially Letters of Credit) would be highly advantageous.
